Syslog

Send logs using syslog or log files from a variety of log sources including rsyslog, nxlog, AWS, JavaScript, JSON, Kubernetes, Docker, and more. Start collecting, centralizing, and monitoring with LogDNA's log analyzer.

In order to use syslog to send logs to LogDNA, you must provision a custom port. You can provision a custom port in the LogDNA web app by following the account-tailored add a log source instructions.

Log Level Parsing

We'll attempt to parse the log level from the log line itself if syslog emits the log line with the log level of "err" or "info". We'll preserve the original syslog level in the _original_level property of a log line and store the parsed log level in the level property.
